FedEx Express couriers provide courteous, efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages and documents, while representing the company in a professional manner. They perform other related duties as well. The open position is for a permanent part-time employee. As such, this individual will generally work between 17.5 and 30 hours per week. Starting salary is currently $13.76 per hour and includes an outstanding benefits package. Benefits include life and health insurance, vision and dental care, Tuition Assistance up to $3000 per year, paid vacation and holidays, a generous pension plan, travel benefits and more. Benefits for FedEx Express employees are approximately equal to 30-40% of one’s wages.

Minimum requirements for the DOT Courier are as follows:

• Age 21 or older (due to Department of Transportation requirements)
• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D. is fine)
• Ability to safely lift and carry 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with help
• Neat appearance, good human relations and verbal communications skills, as direct customer contact is required
• Good driving record, especially most recent 3 years
• Successful candidate must be able to attend and pass two weeks of paid classroom training in addition to local training on a part-time basis
