to collect blood units at blood drives in Central & South Texas.
Responsibilities / Expectations of a Blood Bank- Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist include: Greet donors in a pleasing, professional manner. Conduct medical history interview. Perform medical screening procedures: -blood pressures -pulse -temperature -HGB
Determine donor eligibility. Perform venipuncture & monitor donors during the collection process. Ensure all necessary records are legible, accurate and complete. Assist in the loading, unloading, setting up, taking down and reloading of mobile equipment.
Schedule: Variable Days & Hours;
including evenings & weekends
Occasional out of town and overnight stays required
Requirements of Blood Bank- Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist include: Education / Qualifications: High School Diploma 1 year Medical education preferred Must be capable of performing screening, phlebotomy, donor care and data entry procedures.
Knowledge / Experience: Medical background preferred
Travel expenses will be paid
WILL TRAIN to perform medical histories, vital signs, & draw blood.
