Student Senate Election

The mission of Student Senate is to serve the collective interests of the student body at the University of Houston-Victoria by promoting communication between students and the UHV Administration.

The following offices are open for election.

Victoria Campus:

• President
• Vice-President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Undergraduate Senator of Arts & Science
• Graduate Senator of Arts & Science
• Undergraduate Senator of Business
• Graduate Senator of Business
• Undergraduate Senator of Education
• Graduate Senator of Education
• Three Senators-at-Large, each without specific representative affiliation, from either undergraduate or undergraduate levels, to represent the student body in general.
   

Cinco Ranch Teaching Center:

• One Senator-at-Large

Sugarland Teaching Center:

• One Senator-at-Large

Qualifications: Each candidate must be enrolled as a student at UHV (in good academic standing, of high moral character, and in compliance with all university policies and procedures) at the time of his/her election and must remain enrolled, at least half time, throughout his/her term of office, excluding summer sessions. Each candidate must have cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale at UHV at the time of his/her election and must maintain such standing throughout his/her term of office.
