UHV Associate Professor of biology Siva Somasundaram is offering a new ITV undergraduate course this summer focusing on the basic biology of cancer. "Cancer Biology" will meet 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays from June 2 to Aug. 6 in Victoria and Sugar Land. The deadline to register is May 30.
Those who take the course will learn about the profiles of different types of cancer, how cancer spreads, the environmental and inherited causes of cancer, the diagnostics and treatment of cancer, and how to prevent it from occurring.
